Do I need to provide water or power?
RD Valeting carries its own spotless purified water in the van, so no tap is needed. However, we do require access to a standard 13A plug socket for our equipment. If you're at a workplace, please check this is available before booking.
What is pure water and why does it matter?
Pure water has had the dissolved minerals stripped out of it. Ordinary tap water leaves those minerals behind as it dries — the white spots you see on glass and dark paint. Pure water dries clean, so the finish holds instead of needing chasing with a towel.
Are you insured?
Yes — RD Valeting is fully insured, so your vehicle is covered for the whole visit. If anything were ever not right, it gets dealt with properly rather than argued about.
What's the difference between a Full Valet and a Deep Clean?
A Full Valet (from £60) is a comprehensive reset of a car in normal condition — snow foam, safe hand wash, interior refresh, trim dressed and a spray sealant on the paint. A Deep Clean (from £120) goes further where a car needs rescuing: wet extraction machine shampoo through the seats and carpets, pet hair and stains lifted, iron fallout and tar chemically purged from the paint, and a high-gloss sealant. If the car is only dusty, take the valet; if it has been lived in, take the deep clean.
How often should I book a valet?
For most drivers, a Maintenance package every 4–6 weeks keeps the car in great condition. A Full Valet every 3–4 months is recommended. One-off Deep Cleans are ideal for pre-sale prep or after heavy use.
Is ceramic coating worth it?
It is if you want the finish to keep itself clean. Ceramic (from £100) leaves a hydrophobic, chemically resistant, UV-stable layer on the paint, so water sheets off and road grime struggles to grip. The glass version (from £50) does the same on the windows — rain flies off at speed and the wipers barely need to work.
What if it rains on the day?
Light rain doesn't affect most of our work, particularly interior packages. For exterior treatments that require a dry surface (like sealants), we'll let you know and we can reschedule if needed at no charge to you.
